When I was younger I watched every episode of "Victory at Sea" and loved the series, which included the magnificent musical score composed by Richard Rogers, of Rogers and Hammerstein fame. And there was a time when it seemed to always be available somewhere in the TV universe, but that was many, many years ago. I wonder why today it is nowhere to be found. It would be great for young folks today to better understand the struggles we went through to defeat the Japanese and Germans in WWII and what true victory for America is like.

Thanks, I have a Roku and will try to find it. Most of the time I watch Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu or Apple TV and forget that I have a Roku. I did forget that it has 26 episodes.

I've got the set in VHS that I will pull out occasionally and watch some of the episodes. It's been several months so it's about time to pull it out again.
It’s very similar to the propaganda interludes you would have at the motion pictures back in the 50s. Very much pro-American but sometimes that’s refreshing.

The whole series is also available on DVD/BlueRay. I received the set as a Christmas gift a few years ago. AWESOME...no commercials!!!

I watched all the episodes of "Victory at Sea" when it first came out; The funny part was that I HAD SEEN almost everyone of those films UNEDITED while growing up on Navy Bases; They left out many parts.

I watched all the "Victory at Sea" episodes. As Vito said, the music is very well done.

Also watched the US Army "The Big Picture" hosted by MSgt Queen.

Not familiar with "the Big Picture"?? -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Picture_(American_TV_series)

Shows like those two will never be made or shown again. Both put the US/US military in a very positive light and what was done and needed to be done to defeat Germany and Japan. Some of the cost:
