What's Next Lipsey's ???

Okay, Being a 44spl fan, I'm extremely great full to the folks at Lipsey's. I too was one pleading with them for a 44Spl and they went above and beyond. So, what's next? I've been requesting a 32-20 also on the NM FT frame,I really prefer a 7 1/2" on this one and yes, I'm sure it needs to come with that other cylinder for the 327/32H&R. I only wish Ruger would lighten it up with an alloy XR-3 grip frame.

I'd buy one of those (as long as my finances recover from the life support they are on now- I've bought 3 guns in 10 days :shock: ).

They really need to look at the New Vaquero and Flat-tops for the 32's. Small runs would sell but not like the 44 Specials. There just aren't enough people that appreciate the 32 revolver cartridges but the list keeps growing most of the time when I hand one to someone to try out.

Won't do it for any number of reasons but I'd like to see a 45 Colt on the new Flattop frame. It'd be sweet for those of us who don't supercharge the 45.

Clements did one or two in that configuration. I remember they came with a warning about loading to appropriate levels even with the 5 shot cylinder. I would DEFINITELY buy one or two of a production run in this caliber. I'm glad to see such a resurgence of the .44 Special. It's a wonderfully versatile and effective round with such a meaningful history.

I would like to see a GP 100 in 41 Mag 5 Shot. 4" adjustable sights and the removable front sight.

I think a frame reduction for overall size is better than the "unobtanium" route that S&W has chosen.

'Member fellas, the distributor run models pretty much gotta use existing parts or the same part but in stainless rather than steel (or vise versa). Don't see them taking the time to design up a 5 shot just for a single wholesaler.

Try on the current BH (8 shot) frame .327 for size--as well as the limited run .32-20/.32 H&R Vaquero (also 5.5). Though large frame, they'll still give you an idea it'd be a very hefty piece, barrel/balance and overall...as it'd be virtually the same barrel. If you can find one, also try on a 5.5 Colt or clone in .32-20 as an even closer approximation. I think I'd limit mine to a 4-5/8 in the mid-frame in a .32__anything...and I'm usually a 5.5 afficianado. I still agree, the mid-frame would have been the more appropriate home (for a convetible esp) for the .327, and say bring 'em on in Sheriff, 4-5/8 and 5.5 regardless...and the Single Six as a non-convertible.

I too would like a GP in 41 Mg. with a 5 shot cylinder and a 5 or 6 inch full leg barrel and adjustable sights.

Is the cylinder really too small for a 6 shot gun in 41?

EDITED:

I got my GP out and measured between the cylinders and I get .120" in .357. I think that means that if it was opened up to .41 Mg. size, one would still have .067" left. That ought to be enough.

Make it a convertible if you have to, that's fine with me, as long as one of those cylinders is a 327.

I expressed my appreciation to Lipsey by buying a .44 Lipsey Special with 5½" barrel (my favorite barrel length). (:>))

When the TARO Specials came out (SS version of the .44 Lipsey Special) I kind of wanted one but realized that it makes no sense to want EVERYTHING. I stewed around for months. A couple of weeks ago, I called Acrylytnk and ordered out a new SS 4 5/8" Flattop.

I am REALLY glad I did. It is a stellar revolver. The cylinder throats are correct, the chambers appear to have a burnished finish (as good or better than I have ever seen) and all around VERY nice polishing. The trigger is a bit "long" but rather smooth. I'll shoot it a bit before getting a trigger job.

All in all, it appears to be a PREMIUM revolver. I haven't yet shot it but I have HIGH expectations. If it shoots as well as my blue Lipsey Special, I'll be a VERY happy camper.
