Wow, that took me back to high school in 1985, back then there were about 3000 students(grades 10-12) in Reading High and they were split almost evenly with a third black, a third white and a third Hispanic(mostly Puerto Rican), we had our yearly military recruitment assembly and a black kid(a friend of mind) asked the army recruiter(a black guy) what chance a black man has for advancement in the military. Well, it looked like a scene from Full Metal Jacket, the recruiter jumped off the stage, got right in the kids face and informed him that if he continued to use being black as a crutch that he would go nowhere in life. Hopefully the guy in the video got through to at least a couple of kids in that audience but we're three generations into this mess and it's gonna take a while to fix it.
