My Mark II addiction has led me to branch out in other Mark II areas. This is a VQ Mark with 3.5" barrel. And my original 4" barreled guns.

You are the only other person I know of that has the Volquartsen 3.5 inch MKII Ruger other than myself. Just curious when you bought yours. I bought mine in March of 2004 from a Scheels store in Iowa City/Coralville. Mine has a slightly different rear sight.

Picked it up off of GB about two weeks ago. I know of two others. Seems like they've pretty scarce.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I first saw this model in a Rimfire annual magazine back in 1997 and then I happened to see one for sale at the Scheels Store in 2004 and I jumped on it. They are a great pistol, I think.

I also really like the 4 four inch barrel pistols that you have. I used to see those at gun shows back when they were in production and was always gonna buy one but never got it done. I just think they really look cool, just like my favorite barrel length in a single action is the 4 5/8 model because of their balance and how they look.
