TRADED. Thanks
I bought this a couple months ago. It is a great gun. It's probably the only custom 44 conversion I'll likely ever be able to afford. Without boring you with all the details, I've decided to try to trade it for a 4 5/8" Colt SAA in 44 spl or 45 Colt. Preferably 2nd Gen or a 3rd Gen with a removable cylinder bushing. I missed out on one because the guy wasn't interested in trading me out of my Commander. Said he was just a revolver guy. Go figure. By the time it occurred to me to offer this Blackhawk for it, he had already traded it. Bummer.
I thought I'd see if any of the Ruger aficionados here might want a Clements Custom OM Blackhawk badly enough to shake loose a Colt. Shooter-grade is preferred. I don't have any cash to add, but will gladly accept any cash you are willing to add.
Here is an excerpt from the original seller's ad:
"I have for sale a .44spl conversion back when David Clements started doing the "Jeff Quinn" special. This is an OM Ruger .357 that was linebored with a newbarrel installed. I had the barrel made to 4". All steel crescent head ejector rod and ER housing. Keith # 5 locking, oversized base pin makes for no cylinder play. David's custom sight. High polish blue, with an original XR-3 grip frame. I polished it shiny, a la Skeeter Skelton style, and it looks great. I had Private's Custom Grips make and fit a pair of highly figured Claro walnut."
If you're interested, PM me. Maybe we can work something out. I'm not anxious to get rid of this gun, so I'll be pretty particular about what I'll trade for.
Thanks.
