That's my excuse.
Bought something I don't need, didn't necessarily want and have no ammo to shoot.

That is a very good deal. I did not know they offered the 26" barrel in the Express model.

I do not need such a gun, but for the price, I'd likely buy one too.

Yep, "Order Number" on the end label is 25589. Comes with only the Modified choke tube and tool. Bead front site, vent rib barrel. Kind of a parkerized finish, not smooth or blued. I know ZIP about shotguns but for under $200.00 ....... it's a "gotta have".

I would buy it even if i didnt need another shotgun. $159 for a new rem 870 is a steal. Nothing wrong with the 26" barrel either.

I bought one of them a few years back. Worked just like you'd expect an 870 to, but recoil was obnoxious. That hollow plastic stock just killed. It was so bad I had a hard time making it through one box of target loads shooting clays. I tried some slugs and put it down after three shots due to the discomfort. Both my shoulder and cheek were visibly bruised blue later that day. At that point I found a take-off walnut stock of a wingmaster and been happy with it ever since.

Keep in mind im not what some would describe as recoil-sensitive. I shoot 35 caliber rifles regularly and plenty of other shotguns without any of the drama I had with that synthetic stocked 870.

But good grab none the less! That's an excellent price.
