I measured the cyl of my newly acquired Bisley .45, 5.5" The cyl chamber throats meaure .449 with one measuring .450 The chambers measure .482 When I got it, it had a lot of carbon fouling/some lead around the chamber shoulder and in the forcing cone. I gave it a pretty good cleaning so I could see what I had to work with before I measured(will clean some more). I have not fired a single round yet. So, should I go ahead and help this "smoke wagon" be all it can be?

30calpal,

Ream it. With those measurements it will never shoot up to it's potential.
Never mind the chamber measurements, they all are pretty generous. Mine are like that and I have to trouble at all.
