I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask a question! My understanding is that you can buy T/C's as handguns or rifles or "neither/frames." But if you buy one that was sold as a rifle, that serial number will track back to "rifle" at T/C and you can't ever legally use it as a pistol. We all agree it is stupid... but regardless of that... did you buy these as frames or what? I really need a Contender since I have a barrel in my safe and no gun... but I need it to be used as a pistol.

These were all bought or traded to me second hand, and I have no idea what the original designation was from TC or what the original 4473 was marked. Also As far as I am aware TC had a long fought court battle to allow you to use their frames both directions. Also if buying just a receiver from me, it will be listed as an 'Other' 'Receiver' on the 4473 you fill out at your local dealer, much like a non-designated AR lower.
