Thinking LCP

I bought my Kel-Tec P3AT before Ruger came out with the LCP. The only thing close to the Kel-Tec at the time was the Walther. I chose Kel-Tec for the lighter trigger pull. The Walther was about ten pounds of pull. No way to stay on target with that small gun and ten pounds of trigger pull. I am a BIG Ruger fan. I have over a dozen different Rugers in my safe, and if the trigger pull on the Ruger is as good as Kel-Tec, I would buy the Ruger. If not, I would buy another Kel-Tec. My Kel-Tec has been flawless and for me, it came down to trigger pull.

I guess I bought my LCP about 6 months ago. Its the easiest thing in the world to carry. I have carried it in my back pocket without a holster, with a holster and with a hankie between it and the outside of the pocket. I just can't tell its there. I really like the thing. Some will say the 380 is under powered. That may be true but it's better than the .45 left at home. I don't know if the life span is 6k rounds or not but I guess I have about 500 through it with no signs of wear. Now I will say it has a bit of carry wear but that's what gives it character. I think it makes it look better anyway.
The best thing is that no one even my wife or my buddies even know I carry it. It carries so easily I hope I remember I have it if it is ever needed.
The price of ammo is a bit high. Since I reload other cals I just got a set of .380 dies. I guess it brings it down to about 7 bucks a box.

I bought my LCP 1 year ago. I had a problem with the slide returning to full battery after about 200 rounds. Not sure if it was ammo related (Monarch ammo was all I could find at the time) but after I polished the feed ramp and went to a #13 Wolf recoil spring everything has run like clockwork. I have a Ace Case pocket holster, made a leather OWB pancake holster, and made a leather/kydex IWB holster for daily carry. What I use for carry depends on my dress and where I'm going that day. I also have the Crimson Trace laser installed. It has been my primary carry since the mods and I trust it completely.
