Theater modified bayonet

I picked this up yesterday, it is a theater modified bayonet. It was well done, and someone turned it into a fighting knife. It is very, very sharp. On the backside of the bayonet scabbard, which was cut down to match the blade, is the name of whomever modified it I would assume. While not an original piece, it is certainly interesting and makes you wonder where it saw use.

That looks like originally it was a dress or parade bayonet for a K98k of around WW2 vintage. But being sharpened and cut down costs it's collectable value.

I live only about two hours or so from Crown Point, so anything is posible.

If that is in fact a blade from my cousin then it was one of the ones my dad or my uncle brought back after WWII. They brought back a bunch of bayonets. They lived in Putnam off of Pulpit Point Rd.
