version of the original Vaqueros, came in two different barrel lengths, 4 5/8 and 5 1/2, and was wondering if the 44 mag was the only offering???? as the grips are marked "LC 44" , or is there another???? was asked if any interest in them today by a friend, apparently he has one ,never shot it and was going to bring it over to look at, some sort of "gold" trim and inlays................and not a lot of them made...........
any help would be appreciated.........thank you

Dana, thank you for the info, so really not any big deal...if the price is "right" we just may get it, as they no longer make the "regular", "original", older model vaquero,,,,,,, make a real pretty shooter, for .44 specials

When these came out from TALO they were pretty popular as being "the last of their kind" so to speak...well, they were supposed to be the last of their kind, then Ruger kept dribbling out "cleanup" guns. But really, they are pretty scarce even though the "extras" are not believed to be factory applied, or on Ruger's orders.

From the reference:

Last Cowboy BNV-474 and BNV-475 (and KBNV-474?) with rosewood grips with laser etched LC44 in the right panel and silver eagle medallions, two selective gold layered bands on rear of cylinder and a selectively gold layered Last Cowboy logo on the backstrap. Although this model is believed to be an after-market customization by Baron Technologies for the TALO group of distributors, the models are listed for completeness of the section. Each is also marked “____ of 150” in selective gold layering on the bottom of the grip frame. Known s/n 58-98520 (model unknown). Although this offering was advertised as the Last Cowboy 1 of 150, a total of only 143 are believed to have been produced (77 of the BNV-474 and 66 of the BNV-475). Note that a Camfour advertisement was also seen to advertise a model KBNV-474.
