The Dead South

I liked the outfits too and they got a lot of sound for just those two instruments.

Made me think of the Dillards on the Andy Griffith show.

The sound is great, as is their overall "look".... but they need a new lead singer that actually opens his mouth wide enough to be understood. And while I do like the aforementioned aspects, the fact that they found it necessary to include the phrase moth** f**k** in the song, will pretty much keep them off my lists ..... and that's unfortunate, because they have a rather unique delivery. :(

The lyrics are so clear Helen Keller could understand them :)

♪♫ Dead love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you

My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do

I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company ♫♪

Like it better now?

So that's the "story" that the song tells? .......... now I understand why he mumbles.
