Sunday Road Trip

My wife and I left at 6 am and drove to the other side of Dayton, Ohio to check out another Trans Am (2002 WS6). We sold her '69 Firebird a year ago. We got back home Sunday night around 7:30 pm.

I remember Dayton, stayed there a few times while going to Crown school.
And my 69 is getting painted as we speak!

LOVE the pics! Brings back memories. I had an '81 Turbo, limited edition. It was stolen in '91 so I used the insurance money to pay for my wedding. Been married over 30 years and still wish I had the car. I do have a set of keys as part of me hopes it will someday be found.

Dayton is the home of the Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Well worth a visit. Old cars have little appeal to me, but I do muse over the thought of getting what had been my first new car, a 1966 VW Beetle with its 1.3 liter engine in "Bahama Blue".

My '73 455 4-speed Formula with the Hanoi Taxi for a calendar shoot at WPAFB Museum. And the '69 we sold last year for its calendar pic with a Warthog at the Museum.

The Red Rocker Sammy Hagar in concert 1983 had the front half of a Trans Am on stage, as a prop.
His story was, he lost a race in it, so he cut it in half........during the song Trans Am he got on the amps
above the car, jumped down on the hood, sprung off and a big explosion blew the hood off !!!
We all thought is was the coolest thing we had ever seen
