Slipped on a creekbank and fell into about 3 inches of stinking North Carolina swamp water. I had my SR9 holstered on my right side, and of course, that was the side I fell on. The gun was plunged into some of the finest silt and sand you can imagine. Just to make things worse, I had to squirm around in that stuff to get into a position to stand.
I had to push really hard on the mag release to make it work, PULL the mag out, and yank repeatedly on the slide to eject the one in the chamber.
