Stevens 67E 12 gauge shotgun

I was hanging around one of the gunshops a couple of weeks back, and I spotted a short barreled shotgun. It turns out it was a Stevens 67E 12 gauge with a factory 20 inch smooth barrel with factory rifle sights. I looked it over, other than needed a good cleaning inside and out, it looked pretty good and the stock (one of the weak points on Stevens shotguns) was excellent, no cracks, it takes 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. I got it out the door for $175. It will make a good truck / house gun that I don't have to invest a lot of money in. If it ever warms up I will take it and some 00 buckshot to the range.

I hope it works well for you. I like some Savage/Stevens older shotguns, but the Model 67 is the worst pump design ever of any shotgun. Hopefully yours will be the exception.

Looks like a great buy at that price. Its getting hard to find good deals like that around my area.

I bought that same model from Bob's Gun Exchange in Goshen back in the mid 90's for $150.

Traded it back to him towards something a few years later. Didn't use it much, but still regretted it later.

Heck, it could be that very gun. 8)

There's a Steven's pump in 20 gauge in our extended household. My first shotgun, then my brother's. It's taken everything from squirrel and rabbits and grouse to deer. Great shotguns!

Was it the 67 or the 77 that was issued to some US troops in the Vietnam War? (Or maybe both?).
