Stag Grip Auction on eBay

Did anyone from the RF win the stag grips from eBay that ended today? Hopefully the winner realized they were not factory.

That would be too bad if they thought they were factory. I’ve learned enough from watching the threads that I’d be coming to you, Gary or a few of the other serious collectors to put down money for these. But I think Jay took all yours and he doesn’t sell, so now where would I go???

I was not involved in the auction and did not bid on them as I have what I need for my display purposes. But I am curious what are you seeing from those three pictures to determine they are not factory?

For one thing brass escutcheons and incorrect screw.

The brass escutcheons and screw are correct for Ruger stag grips. What I see right off is the later style "fat neck" medallions. The staking of the medallions is also suspect due to the fact they were not installed originally in these panels (looks like glue in the medallion staking area...) Nice looking grips as far as color/bark...
