SRH .480 for sale**SOLD**

I bought this gun used about 5 yrs ago to see what I could do with this caliber. I was told that the previous owner had fired it 6 times and deemed it too much to handle. I put a set of Hoague Tamer grips on it and found it to be serious, but managable in the recoil department. I have fired it about 100 times with handloads that are about 90% full power loads. I am too old to hunt anymore, so out it goes. Gun is in excellent condition, comes with the original grips, the original box and the Hoague grips, which are much better. 7-1/2" BBL. Adjustable sights and ready to go.

Question, please. Does this fire only .480? I remember seeing somewhere that a .460 would also fire .45 and .454 I think. Does .480 also use any kind of more common rounds? Thanks.

A 480 Ruger will ONLY fire 480 ammo.

The only equivalency in the .475 caliber arena is a .475 Linebaugh which can also fire .480 Ruger but not the other way around.

I would bet that you were thinking of the 460 Smith & Wesson Magnum. Different animal
