SR-556 .223 to 6.8 conversion

Sorry if this has been asked or beat to death before.

Will a 6.8 complete upper work on my sr-556 223 lower?

I want to have a multi caliber platform. Looks like I can buy a complete upper with bolt etc and mags and slap it on and be good to go.

Dont want to find out m wrong the hard way.

Yes, the complete upper will work on your current gun. You will need 6.8 magazines.
