Some months ago I posted some pondering I was doing in regards to converting a Security Six to round butt. I have an old one that belonged to a family member that has some blue wear but had been shot very little.

Anyway, I had a chance to get a pair of Pachmayr Compacts for a Speed-6 really cheap and decided what the heck?

Anyway, she turned out pretty nice. I put a spurless Speed-6 hammer in her and rounded the corners of the rear sight blade.

BTW, there is plenty of room to round the butt without the danger of defacing the Serial #.

Uh-it's not single action only. It still can be used single action, but it is set up for mostly double action work. The spurless hammer won't catch on and shred up a sport coat or jacket lining.

This is what I carry when I want to lug a .357.
