Because they are evil and must be banned. I've seen empty boxes go for half that. Often thought about selling mine because of the premium.

I won't give the whole history behind the Black Talon but if you google it and read a bit, you'll see that they are no longer in production...hence the collectibility. If you are looking for .40 ammo to shoot, these aren't the ones you want. Best wishes.

It wasn't teflon coated. The copper was black oxide and the brass was chrome. The Winchester SXT (same exact thing) was copper and brass without the evil name. These were lousy at getting through a vest they flattened with hard copper fingers that stuck out and got stuck in the outer layers of the kevlar.
