First year (1956) manufacture Tri-Color Lightweight Single Six, model LWAC. As many of you know, these revolvers were all serial numbered in the 2xxxxx range, and were first made like this one with natural color alloy cylinder frame and "Martin Hardcoat" alloy cylinder which gave it a greenish-gold color finish. Chambers are steel-lined. With the blue barrel and ERH and black anodized grip frame, these became known as the "Tri-Color" version. Barrel and steel ERH are missing a lot of blue, which seems typical for these - I'm not sure why, but Lightweights seem to have a hard time hanging onto bluing. Might be a reaction to the Martin Hardcoat finish on the cylinder. There is also a ding in the left side of the muzzle which is shown in close-up in the last pic. Grip frame has scattered anodizing loss. Oddly, for all the rest of the wear, finish on the cylinder is remarkably good with only minimal chipping at the stops as is usually seen on these cylinders. Not converted, and the bore and chambers look fine. Should make a good entry level collector gun or a sexy shooter to take to the range and raise eyebrows.
