Ruger Single Six convertible .22 LR x .22 WMR with 9-1/2" barrel. Model RSS9X, made in 1963 based on SN, which has the 1/16" high digits. XR3-RED grip frame and non-INC barrel rollmark. Extra cylinder has the red felt bag. No box or papers. This is a super high condition collector grade revolver. The specific variation is called the "Type 3 Transition" which were made in all 4 barrel length and of the 9.5" barrel RENE states, "475 RSS9X made. The RSS9X is rare." Known SN range, again per RENE, is 360739 to 372254. There is not much to pick on regarding the condition. There is a spot of silvering on the bottom of the ejector rod housing, there is a small scratch on the backstrap, very minor discoloration to the sides of the hammer, and possibly a few light scuffs here and there knock it down to 99%.
