Very nice old model .357 Mag 6.5" Blackhawk in about 98% condition. Not converted. Non-prefixed serial number dates the revolver to 1968 production. A little light wear, very light turn ring. Most of the minor complaints are on the right side. There are very small dings on the right side of both sights, a little wear on the grip frame at the very forward tip on the right just forward of the SN. There is a small void in the frame casting about 1 mm wide near the front of the right side of the frame in line with the top the barrel, and this appears to be a factory defect as it is well blued. A little paint is missing from the right grip eagle. Left side of the gun is minty. Bore is great, nice and shiny with sharp rifling.

SPF $555 shipped FFL to FFL

Our resident second generation (not the guns - him) old model (not him - the guns) .357 Mag Blackhawk serial number observer and list maintainer reports that this gun falls into one of several large "gaps" of previously noted numbers. The gap was from 138887 to 139717, now with this one gun between.

Nobody has any concrete notion what that means, of course

But interesting to ponder.

And our resident keeper of all the records of all the known Rugers from DAY ONE to the present day advises that he has record of only one other gun in that large gap, as well.

I'll admit to being an Old Model.

All that said, this is indeed an interesting offering.

This is how The List grows.

Care to share the barrel length?

:)

PS . . . somebody seriously needs WMG's gun!! It's famous now.

Mine has the 6 1/2 inch barrel. Looks just like the one pictured here.
