Here is one of the scarce and collectible 10" old model Blackhawk flattops in .44 Magnum, catalog number BKH40. Around 1500 of this barrel length were made in the late 1950's and early 1960's. This one dates to 1959. The consecutive numbered revolver to this one is listed in the Collector's section but the owner did not post the number himself so I can't contact him. Maybe he will see this. Condition is roughly 95% with the major condition issues being two small pits, one on the right side of the frame under the serial number and the other being on the top of the barrel just above the "S" in Sturm. I have taken close ups of both those spots. There are some areas of minor blue loss at either side of the muzzle, a little at the front of the ERH, and a little at the leading edges of the cylinder. The ERH screw slot is a little buggered. There are some scratches on the loading gate that you can see them on the closeup of the right side of the frame. The sides of the hammer have typical discoloration. The grip frame has some minor dings, the right grip panel has some dings and the left panel has an unusual change of grain toward the toe. I also think a touch of cold blue may have been applied to attempt to cover the cylinder line at some point. That's quite a list, but it really is a pretty nice gun! And it looks great in normal light and distance. Bore is bright and chambers are clean.
