SPF: Older REDHAWK 44 Mag 2nd year gun LNIB w/Shipper

This Redhawk came out of an FFL's personal collection. The shipper is stamped noting it as one of his personal collection guns. It is a model KRH-44, stainless .44 Mag with 7.5" barrel, made in 1981 (the Redhawk came out in 1980 and first year guns went up to around 500-03610). I don't know the history of the gun but it is certainly in excellent condition. May or may not have been fired after leaving the factory. It is a complete package with box, shipper, red eagle plastic baggie, red cylinder "donut", manual, and warranty card. The manual is dated 2-81 in the lower right corner of cover. There is one small blemish on the left side (see second pic) right where the trigger group snaps into the frame, forward of the trigger - but lots of new Rugers have small blemishes! Shipped price is below dealer cost for a new one.

i remember when ruger first introduced the redhawk. what a beautiful gun to say the least.

I remember that time period as well. You couldn't just walk in and buy one when this gun was made because of the demand. I had been jonesin' for a 629 since I first read about them, and then the stories about the Redhawk started trickling out. I thought it would be a better gun for less money than the Smith. So I got on my then-local dealer's waiting list right away in 1980 and didn't get mine until they were into 5-digit serial numbers later in 1981. I had just turned 21 when it arrived, so it was the first handgun that I bought through a dealer without my dad having to do the paperwork.
