If you've been looking for a kick-around .45 Colt old model shooter, or perhaps one to customize by cutting the barrel down, this could be your huckleberry. Model BKH45 old model .45 with 7.5" barrel and a lot of things keeping it from "safe queen" status. There are quite a few scratches and scuffs - I won't try to list them all, but I took enough pics that should get the point across. Probably about a 90-92% finish overall, due to the scratches. Then the trigger appears to have been chromed at some point, and that silvery finish is wearing thin and patchy. And the cylinder is numbered like they did for the convertibles, so I'm not sure whether it was sold as a single cylinder gun or not (the cylinder with it is definitely .45 Colt). Finally, there is a defect in the bore about a half inch back from the muzzle. I'm usually not good at taking bore pics, but this is a big bore and the defect is not too far back, so I got a pretty good pic. I can't think of any reason for that thing to magically appear after leaving the factory, so I would guess that it was a manufacturing defect in the barrel stock. Probably shoots fine, even with the bore blob in the rifling, or it would make a good guinea pig for that 5.5" barreled OM .45 custom job you've been dreaming of. Not converted and seems mechanically fine. Serial number dates to 1971 production.
