I bought this old model .30 Carbine Blackhawk several years ago because I didn't have a prefixed serial numbered example in my collection. But once I got it, I decided not to add it to my collection due to the condition of the box, which has edge and corner wear as shown, and has the gun's serial number written on the top. The revolver itself is very nice, in about 98-99% condition with a couple light scratches on the left side of the frame and just the fainest beginning of a turn line. Not converted. Low number for a prefixed gun, indicating 1969 production. The .30 came out in 1968 so there are a few non-prefixed guns, then of course old model production ceased in 1973, so there were only six years of OM .30 production. The .30 Carbine is great fun to shoot from a handgun due to the high pressure round designed for optimal performance from a longer barrel. Low recoil and very accurate, but with a muzzle blast to wake the dead. Loud and fiery. All the .30 Blackhawks have 7.5" barrels. The package includes the oil wrap but there is no manual present.
