This is one of the first group of the Acusport stainless Bisley Blackhawks. The serial number dates to 2002 production. Model KRBN-455W with just the single cylinder in .45 Colt. The gun I bought for my collection in 2002 is 48-13xxx, the same range as this one. The convertible KRBN-455WX models with the second cylinder in .45 ACP did no start to appear until 48-237xx. I say all this to assure you that this is not a convertible model that is missing the ACP cylinder, but rather one of the rarer .45 Colt (only) guns from earlier production. You may think it would be a simple matter of just looking at the catalog number on the end of the box and confirming 455W versus 455WX, and that would be true if this were the original box... but it is not. This box is the earlier type with pebble grain surface on both ends and no smooth area for a sticker. This type of box is the earliest of the gray plastic cases Ruger used, and the guns of that era still used a cardboard shipper with the catalog number on the cardboard. Additionally, the manual is for a Vaquero instead of a Blackhawk.
So... nice KRBN-455W revolver, wrong box, wrong manual. And a yellow cable lock. Revolver is in really nice condition as shown. Looks to have been fired a bit with some soot rings on the front of the cylinder, but virtually no recoil evidence on the breech face. So it likely saw nothing more than low power cowboy loads. Bright and shiny bore with crisp rifling.
