SOLD - I have for sale a nice tip-up .22 LR Stevens Marksman rifle. Personally I have not seen one of these in such nice mechanical condition. The bore is in excellent condition, the lock up is tight (the lever actually snaps into position) and the extractor works smoothly with nice crisp edges. Finish wise the barrel still wears a lot of blue, the action has grayed; the wood shows some dents and dings, mostly on the fore-end. The varnish was flaking so I scraped it off with a scraper so no wood was removed and oil-finished it with two coats. All the parts look original. The take-down screw head shows some screwdriver marks but the action screws look great. This one looks like it sat around a lot but was fired very little.
