SOLD PF - Another very rare TLA #5. .45 Colt with factory color case by Doug Turnbull and the only TLA I've seen that has factory stags made by Paul Persinger. Factory stag is exceedingly rare (I've seen a total of five TLAs with factory stag, including this gun), but I've never seen Persinger stag, other than this gun. Add to it the fact that Turnbull did the color case on WAY under 100 #5s (the exact number will be in the book), and that only about 20-ish percent of #5s were made in .45 Colt and it is easy to see how truly rare this gun is.
I purchased this from the estate of the original owner. It is supposedly unfired. If you want to get extremely picky and really give it a hard look in bright light, you can find a couple very minor marks on it, but it is as nice as they come, condition wise.
This gun will be pictured and discussed in the TLA book and I will be happy to include a letter on my book letterhead detailing its features and that it was an important part of my research collection.
