Soft Shooting S.D. Ammo For LCP

Preferences for carry ammo for the LCP that is a good s.d. choice but low recoil?

I might be a bit old school in thought, but low-recoil and 'good s.d. choice' aren't the same thing.

I would take a box of these and try them out and if they function well, I would also trust them.

Cheese, I have some Hydra Shok in .380. Its not bad. I took my LCP to the range a couple of weeks ago. I was shooting some Fiocchi full metal and after about 24 rounds I had enough. Wasn't much fun. It's getting warmer and I was looking to pick a round that was decent for s.d. but not too hard on my hand. Federal's are a possibility. I was thinking of trying Silvertips. But I'm open to suggestions.

Silvertips are not reduced recoil rounds, they are fullhouse. So I wouldn't look there, the Federal reduced recoil gets good ratings from tests. In the past, I have used silvertips and they do have some kick in a fairly small gun. My favorite SD rounds are made by Hornady and Federal, I don't use reduced recoil in my guns but I do trust Federal to put out a quality product.

Edit: I'm sorry, I read you gun as a LC9 but it is clearly an LCP. I would research .380 acp but I still like and trust Fed's and Hornady's

I would recommend the hottest loads you can find that function reliably and that you can shoot well. Do sixty percent of your practice with a "low recoil load then the balance with your hot defense loads. Tape wrists as necessary, use ice and over the counter anti inflammatories as needed... but
you are not going to notice the recoil in an emergency situation.
