I tend to expect a bit of snow in Idaho... Not so much in Scottsdale & Cave Creek!! lol

Pete, actually the ski and mountain areas have plenty of snow. We live in the valley. They are already complaining about the water has to go somewhere, and the reservoirs get awfully full, and they keep running water down the canals. They get pretty full as well in the Summer. That's good for the farmers. When I water my lawn, it's from the canals, so that saves water. I pay about $125 a year for watering the grass. I water 6 days a week in the evening for about 20-30 minutes depending on how hot it is.

Been snowing off and on all day in Las Vegas.

Been seeing pictures posted all day from places like Joshua Tree, Barstow, Vegas, Just outside of Laughlin, etc., desert areas where it just about NEVER snows, and even when it does it's usually just a dusting. Several of these places have feet of snow. I'd be willing to bet the priests of the church of Global Warming will try to convince you that GW is the cause of all this...

Went thru the Vail hills, just east of Tucson around 14:30 and there was about 3"-4" of the white stuff on the ground, looked pretty neat.

Tucson is about 1000 feet higher than here in Casa Grande, but we sure had snow on a local mountain that seldom gets dusted!

Also snow at Fort Irwin, CA, and Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. I haven't yet heard of any snow at Yuma, AZ, though. Probably too close to that place where Satan lives!

My two oldest kids built a snowman in Barstow in 1982.
