Sling for Mini-14

I was shopping for a sling for my SS 581 Mini-14 Rancher and went to the Ruger web site to see what they had. Saw the Black Cobra sling with the Ruger logo and loved the look of it. Then I saw a Note in the description that said it did not fit the Mini-14 or Mini-30. Well, that just didn't make sense to me so I ordered it anyway.

Got it today and this thing is really good looking. Leather is very soft and pliable and needs nothing. Even better, it fits my Mini Rancher perfectly!

Attention Ruger: You need to remove that note because this is a gorgeous product and it fits perfectly!

I have one of these on my Mini and a Marlin 336. I bought them off ebay for about $20 each. Its Amish made with a Conway buckle (used and developed for equestrian tack) its very easy to adjust with that buckle. Great quality leather. I've also ordered one for my Hawkeye.

Hey guys I'm new into a mini 14 58x series and was looking into a sling. I found this on amazon and was wondering if anyone could help me determine if it would be a good fit for the rifle. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

I personally don't care for the "Cobra" style of sling, seem to me to be unnecessarily bulky and heavy. For a Mini 14, a simple G.I. nylon sling works good for me.

Something along the line of the "Silent Sling". I bought one for my new Mini 30 recently, got three of them used on Ebay for $12.00

I bought this Blackhawk sling from Midway USA for $16.99. Could not be happier. Fits my new Mini-14 perfectly, and even comes with the swivels. It has a rubber like strip sewn onto the inner side of the upper sling, to keep the sling from sliding off your shoulder and it works great.
