A few weeks back I bought a Stainless Single 10 and have shot about 125 rounds thru it. The main spring is a lot "stiffer" than my Blue Single Six. Has anyone noticed the same condition? Has anyone replaced the main spring in theirs? thanks Jerry

I found just the reverse with my single ten. I find it much lighter than my single sixes, and am actually concerned with misfires even though I have never had any. Mine has the lock under there so it uses a different mainspring than the single six without it.

My single six in stainless was noticeably heavier than some of the blues ones I have handle. However after about 2,000 rounds, its like butter. Just go out and start shooting.

I put 17lb hammer springs in all my Rugers (only 19 so far) and NEVER have any reliability issues. Ever.
