Saw a pic of the gun.Google imaged 10/22 w/schoaner manlicher stock.No holes.no cheek piece,no checkering.I can not verifiy the wood but its hardwood,smooth with little grain.

It's a 10/22 International. Yep, full length stock. Many produced, and back in production now.

Numerous variations...Walnut, birch, laminated, stainless and blued.

It is not called a "schoaner manlicher stock".... it is simply called a Mannlicher stock
The Mannlicher Schoenauer was a specific brand of rifle developed in Austria by Ferdinand Mannlicher and his partner Otto Shoenauer... it was remarkable in it's time for it' revolutionary non-removable rotary magazine. I started life as a military rifle and then was produced for the sporting trade in various models and stock types... the stock to the muzzle being the most popular to collectors....

Ruger started production of the stock to the muzzle version of the 10/22 and named it the International... they also produced the M77, the No 1 and the 44 mag semi auto in the same stock configurations... all of which bring premium prices for used models...
 
When they came out in 1994, the earliest ones also did not have checkering. People complained (with good reasoning) and it wasn't long before Ruger started checkering them.

Got 1 2 weeks ago 350.00 out the door along with 4 25rd mags put about 2oords thru it with no problems. Dont need a loader for the mags, as they are real easy to load. Now have to find a scope for it. Had 1 years ago the patterned like a shotgun, got rid of it, glad to see they have taken care of the problem.

I have one that was made in the 60's. No checkering on it. Killed a few squirrels with it. Bought it used about 30 years ago. Don't have a picture of it.
