Well I did some horse trading and ended up with a as new Ruger super blackhawk. 7.5" barrel. Beautiful gun and will be used for hunting. My older eyes demand I use a scope. I have others with red dots but I am more accurate with a scope. I went to order the no drill no tap mount from Weigand machine until I red this warning. Does anybody run this mount and use heavier loads?

Welcome to the Forum!
I have a few of the Weigand mounts and haven't had any issues.

However,, I've been a handgun hunter for decades,, and have never felt the need to use a very heavy bullet at specs above SAAMI.
In fact,, a good quality, medium to hard cast slug,, in the 240 grn range,, traveling at about 1100 fps will take down very large game cleanly.
The issue I'd see from their disclaimer would be the heavy recoiling effect may cause accuracy issues, (shooting loose,) or maybe even damage the base or what it's attached to. Which is often a small screw from where an adjustable open sight is mounted.

What is your preferred load?

Right now I'm shooting. 240s xtp over 24gr h110. In my Redhawk. Which should be fine with this mount. But only worried about Trying 300 gr xtp. I have no problem keeping my loads lighter for hunting just wondering if others have had issues with this mount I guess.

Understood about your load.
It shows up as pushing that bullet around 1350 fps. A warmer load than recommended by Weigand.
The Redhawk scope mounting system is totally different and much stronger than the Weigand mount that just screws into the rear sight screw hole.

Personally, I'd back off the loads a bit for that mounting system.
