I called Ruger about a month after the purchase of a new MKIII semi. I was experiencing a FTF at least once per mag, sometimes more. I did not expect to get to talk to a person and figured I was headed down the road of sending it back and waiting for my new toy to return. Much to my suprise, I got a live technician who talked with me like he had all day to do so. During the call he gave me a list of things to check (in order) and how to correct them. Told me to call back if it did not resolve the issue. I have to say in our litigious society, I was quite suprised I was able to have this discussion since I am not a gun shop or a smith - just a consumer. oh yeah - and problem solved without having to send the gun back. I'm a big fan of Ruger.
