Ruger Scope Rings

I am running a Leupold 1x4 scope on a couple Model 77's, one in 35 Whelen and another a Gunsite Scout. Using a #3 front and a #4 rear I still could get the scope lower.
Did Ruger ever make a #2 scope ring?

I'm surprised the bolt handle would clear the ocular lens with a lower set of rings... but no, I've never seen a ring lower than a #3.

No; There is nothing lower than LOW

You could check other brands of rings, there could be lower ones. I went with Leupold rings on a 77 FTW for the opposite reason, a really big scope.

That is why I have cheek rest on the stocks of my Ruger rifles.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I'll just build up the stock a bit.
9x19: your point is well taken. On the Leupold 1x4 I'm using there is still 0.233 clearance, much less on a Redfield
