That is fishy. Is it possible your maximum bid was less than the seller wanted to sell it for? I know people here like gunbroker and other on line gun auctions but for me personally I wouldn't want to get into a deal like that.

Better to have been outbid that way than to have won the bid and sent the money and never gotten anything back in return. I'm still waiting for a refund on a Feb 9th auction where the gun was supposedly lost in the mail, but a rash of negative reviews just in the last month plus the seller's account getting suspended makes me believe otherwise...

unless i am missing something, this goes against AA policy. this is a penny auction and there is no reserve........the same gun is being relisted from the same seller after a winning bid has been placed. this seller has been around for a while and Manny and the boys haven't noticed this yet...........
I'd report it. They do not like strawman/schill bidders. Auction houses frown on it heavily.

It happens more times than we'd like to believe. I'd at least repot it to AA. They may have more complaints already and my just track the 2nd auction to see if it happens again.

If you bid on and win a lot of guns on GB like I do, chances are you've been bilked by a shill bidder and not even known it.
Now I'm suspicious of everyone, there were times when a seemingly common gun was all the sudden hotly bid on, and a few times my "max bid" was taken up to the last dollar.
So now, I usually just browse the listings for the same few dealers I have been using for years on GB. I usually won't bid if it's a new seller unless it's something I really need.......
