Ruger Precision Rifle ?

Help Support Ruger Forum:

If you want one, you'll love it! Is there something more particular you're asking for input on? The RPR is the same across all the chamberings as far as how it feels and works. Are you asking about the chambering, the rifle, or...?

I've seen tons of RPRs on the line at NRL and PRS matches, and I've played around with one just a little. I even screwed a RPR barrel on a Hawkeye receiver.

I purchased one several months ago,its extremely accurate. the adjustable butt stock is a pain. mine is chambered in 7.62X51,i need to replace the butt stock with something more user friendly.

A friend got one in 6.5 Creedmoore when they came out. Great rifle. Quite a few folks have them in 7.62 for hunting. 7.62 has a wider selection of bullets than the other calibers, but IMHO is not as accurate for target shooting as the 6.5; although better for hunting.

The stock is rather a pain to adjust but once adjusted you don't need to fiddle with it. I just wish that I had been able to get one at the time, but none of the dealers had one.
