Ruger precision rifle backorder 243

Does anyone have any I sight into this backorder? No one seems to have the ruger precision rifle 243 in stock.

Saw a new gen 1 on the Ky. Armslist this morning. A dealer has it & they will ship, according to the add.

Taking it for what it's worth, the distributor rep at the local gunshop's "Ruger Days" last week told me that the .243 was discontinued, at least in the RPR second gen.

I called ruger and they said they are pumping them out as fast as they can. They didn't say that they disco'd the 2nd gen 243 rpr. I guess I can only hope to get my hands on one.

PS - ruger customer service has always been great until I called them this time. I tried to dig for some details and they acted like I was asking for secret launch codes.

As far as I know, Ruger never offered a 2nd generation .243...that is only in .308 and 6.5.
So because the .243 was never offered in that, it would seem that there have been slow sales in the .243 Gen. 1 gun...so a good reason to discontinue.
