Hi,
I don't recall when it was, though probably within the last year, someone posted that the States which originally required the fired case, to identify the bad guys or some such, had dropped the requirement. It sounded like they found, after several years and umpteen however many dollars, not a single bad guy had been caught.
I notice those guns mentioned which still have the fired case are autoloaders, which will kick cases out for the LEOs and CSIs to find. Since revolvers don't do that, maybe folks are getting just a touch smarter?

I didn't know that it was going away?? Does seem fairly dumb. I don't know the percentage but aren't most crimes committed by folks who either stole the gun or bought it on the down low? What good could the round possibly do. Dumb law in the first place.
I can see if it was domestic maybe but I think most of those are solved fairly quickly. Unplanned murders usually don't go well for the murderer. JMO.

Six more new Rugers at local shop. Revolvers and semi-autos. All confirmed NO FIRED CASE. Still trying to find the post.

No casing with my new Flattop either. Another no for the gripframe internal lock....
