I had a wonderful project planned for this piece of French Walnut. If you look, you'll see this was cut the way it should be - that is, out of one piece of wood. The forend is a continuation of the buttstock with a small section removed. When this is fitted, finished and checkered it will make a truly one of a kind rifle.

I paid $1000 for this from Don Allen of Dakota Firearms shortly before his death. I've wanted to put it on a 257 Roberts or a 25-06 or some other quarter bore but really haven't had the time. It would make a great stock for a boomer too. A boomer is something over 375. Either way it will make your rifle a splendid looking one indeed.
