OK...the recoil pad is a Kick-eez. (spelling?) There is also a slight cut or abrasion near the top of the recoil pad (this mark is ON the recoil PAD), as if it snagged on a sharp hunting jacket...or an attempt was made to "file" it so it wouldn't snag on a hunting jacket. Nothing major, but a mark, nonetheless.

I don't think the stock was cut. If you can give me a measurement that the stock should be in length, I'll gladly measure it to see if it matches.

if you were talking to me i was showing op where I measured an uncut stock. I like nice wood on #1 rifles and would be interested if stock is uncut.

OK......so here's the deal. Measured as the gent did above (REALLY nice looking wood on that one, by the way!) the distance from the action to the beginning of the pad is 13&1/2". Measuring from the action to the end of everything is 14&3/4". He bought the rifle that way from a Cabela's.

great, thanks, looks to be cut for the pad...thanks for the compliment on my rifle, it was a mess and I had to refurb the whole thing...
