I just picked up a Ruger Mini-14, 180 series, made in 1977 at an estate sale. I onwed a Mini-30 years ago for a short time but I traded it so I never got familiar with the rifles.

The stock is beat up pretty bad, everything else is in good shape. I know these aren't the most accurate rifles, but I got it for a decent price so one of my kids will end up with it.

Does anyone make a good stock for it?

Being a 180 series, I would look for a replacement original stock. Internal parts are unique for this series and not available. If you want a shooter, I would buy a later model.

Might check with Gun Parts Inc. for original stock for your 180 series. It is surprising what they do have in stock and may luck out. Check with Brownells also. "Stocky Stocks" offers all manner of stocks for the Mini 14's.
