I had to call ruger customer service seem the take down pin to remove the slide HEAD sheered off after a early morning range session to day.
I did purchased the gun back in 2012 and must have over 1,000 rounds threw it.
I was lucky I had a fine set of needle nose pliers and was able to remove the broken pin.
Glad I did not have to ship it back to ruger for repair.
Customer service said about 3 days to get the part.Well looks like the Beretta 22 cal. pistol has to come out of storage for a few days

I think Ruger has revised the desihn of the pin since 2012. I keep a spare in stock.

Ruger has great CS.

The take down pin can be pushed out from the right side of the frame. By inserting a small pin between to slide and the frame it can be pushed out enough to grab it with a pliers.

Ruger sent me the part again excellent service when parts are needed:
I wish they would of sent a least 2 pins instead of one.
I seen a few aftermarket pins from Galloway any one try them ?
Gun is back together I also double check the frame no cracks any were to be found.

The pin is only $2.00 or so from Midway or Brownell's. Just add a couple to your bill the next time you order from them.
