Ruger flat top question

Not a flattop; is a Super Blackhawk 44 mag 7 1/2"..................

It is not. It is a three screw super blackhawk. The protective ears around the rears sight on the top strap were added a few years into production of the Ruger centerfires. The real flattops do not have them and the whole topstrap is flat.

I never bother trying to correct a guys ad.....would you believe a used car salesman that said it was only driven to church on Sundays by a little old lady :lol: :lol: :lol: do your own homework and research....you will be better off in the end......look at all the Single Sixes advertised as "FLAT TOPS"......I could spend several hours a day sending sellers corrective emails if I thought it would do any good :roll: :roll: :roll: arm yourself with info and just ignore the BS :shock: :shock: :shock: YMMV....see ya RR.

Yeah, different schools of thought on this subject... And you're right; Trying to correct everyone would be overwhelming. I usually don't bother either, but sometimes I find the impulse too great to fight off! Flattops are my pet peeve I guess. :?

That is one of the exact reasons for the Phrase............."BOOKS-BOOKS-BOOKS(!)" One never has enough educational texts, ala books......... 8) :wink: .
