I'm not understanding why this revolver has not sold. When they first became available, each batch was immediately sold out. Now that I can't find a new one at any of my usual outlets, this one remains untouched.

If you've not shot one of these, this gun and cartridge combination is extremely easy to shoot.

WAYNO.

Bushog, are you talking about lower on the window or a smaller number? :)

Lower on the window.....

Really just causing trouble I suppose.

Bump for a GREAT revolver that really needs no mods.

If someone is concerned about the lock, Hondo 44 sent me this note. It says (in part)

"Yes, in 2007 I discovered that the lowly Bearcat 22 saddle (or spring seat) is the longest made by Ruger and it's just long enough to bridge the gap once the lock is removed. And it mounts under the mainspring takedown pin just like the lock, so the spring doesn't need dismounting from the spring strut. Nor does the grip frame even need to be removed. It's about a $3.00 part but that Ruger will send you for free, as is their current policy for small parts. They don't know the seat can be used to by pass the lock, at least I never told them. There are not a lot of SS 44s around as you say."

I sure wish I had funds this month, I would take it off Your hands. LOL I've spent too much lately on guns. If you're interested in a trade let me know. I have an older Ruger #1 45-70 I need to move on.

SK,
I tried to work out a deal on this revolver (was going to do a Bisley conversion) and it didn't pan out. I'm actually glad now, that it didn't - it's going to a much more worthy cause.
Bravo Sir,
Jeb
