Ok, any experience with one? I'm in the market and believe I would prefer this caliber over the .308 or .243. Also, what are they going for, that is, if you can find one. I did find one at a shop about 60 miles away, googled gun shop locations while I was traveling. On the shelf at 1299.00, that seem in the ballpark? Or if any one out there has one to part with, I may consider trading a Max, Also have a .480 Super redhawk, brass, dies, bullets and ammo that I may put on the block. Coogs

I paid $1249 for my RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Love it!!!!!!
Great caliber and very accurate.
A couple little things I don't care for, but overall it's great gun.

Here's a fairly thorough review of that rifle:

Coogs, you need to know that some time after introduction Ruger came out with an "enhanced" version. I have not been paying attention so I don't know the difference. As a much younger man I bought an early round bolt .220 Swift Model 77V and found that heavier than I wanted to carry around so I have zero interest in the RPR. By the way, I paid $205.00 plus tax for the Swift. You do the math. As far as price, I would put it at about two Maximums!

Good luck in your quest, Robert

$1299 is exactly what i paid for mine in a 6.5 creedmoor. It was the latest (enhanced) model. Still playing with it at 100yds. I think im about ready to start moving on out in yardage. I have the vortex viper hs-t 6-24x50mm for the optics, front bipod and just last friday i got the accu- shot monopod. Have'nt had a chance to shoot with the monopod. i can tell you in the little time i have spent with this, the 6.5 greedy- creedy- moor is almost as if lazer guide. :) It is a ball to shoot. I got mine from outdoors unlimited in Norfolk Nebraska. They seem to get them on a regular basis.
