… set it …

… and forget it! …

They don’t make ‘em like this guy any more. What an impressive resume. RIP.

We still have a Set it and Forget it.........we use it all the time. It cooks a sirloin tip roast to perfection.

Never owned a pocket fisherman, but when I was 10 they sure sounded cool when he advertised them!

Oh I had a pocket fisherman and a smokeless portable ashtray ….. maybe others. I should look for a list of things he peddled on TV.

That list would be long.

As we speak, I still have their rotisserie cooker. Sadly, it takes too much room on the counter, so it lives in the shed, unused, but when we used it, it was marvelous. Didn't matter what we cooked, it came out wonderful.

Ron Popeil, Rest in Peace.

Give this a read, Popeil had a very interesting/different kind of life than most others.

About Ron Popeil

Hi,

I always wondered why I had so much money tied up in fishing gear when all I really needed was a Pocket Fisherman! Somewhere in the back of my mind is a fuzzy memory of a contest to see who could catch the biggest fish on one of them. Am I imagining? ;)

RIP, Ron: you were quite the guy, and a wonderful source of entertainment.

Bought a knife set (for the kitchen) from one of his ads many years ago. Still using them.
